I rented a Uhaul for the day. The clerk/ manager (Zachaey, I presume) was extremely friendly and professional. The Uhaul was the nicest one I've ever rented. I'll likely return for storage if I need it in the future.
Clean, but not secure. 40 years of memories gone. Codes to get into buildings from the outside super easy to figure out and do not change. There is alot of dead space around units that can give entrance into units. Discouraged from previous post. We did not know they only maintained tapes for a week. That is one of their main advertising points. The first thing you see upon entering the office is the feed from cameras. It is kind of deceiving, giving potential renters a false sense of security. Wish we had a different experience, staff is nice, facility clean, just not secure by any means.
Unfortunately this large business is terrible run. Sent me and my husband on a wild goose chase to find our uhaul. Ended up with an employee giving me a number to call because he didn't know when he would be able to get me another truck. Uhaul ended up eating the cost of my travel, this place and it's counterpart across town are awful.
Rip offs! I wouldn't recommend to anyone! 3 days late they charge you a late fee, 4 days later another one then another one.
If I could do zero stars I would. Although friendly people this site is not secure! My items were stolen from inside, yet the lock provided by StoreSmart was still secured. How does that happen? Apparently the gap between walls and ceilings on outside units can be climbed over. Also the provided insurance does not cover this form of theft, since the lock was not cut. Total BS! Oh, and the video security footage is only maintained for a week, so good luck. Unfortunately the thieves stole military items it took my entire career to accumulate, which is a double screwing! Thanks StoreSmart, could have saved my money and left my stuff on the street.
