Stayed here for 7 nights due to evacuating from FL. Management, Ken, and his crew were outstanding. Made all feel at home. Always smiling and willing to lend a hand. Manager, Ken, ordered pizza and soda for all the guests and when we left to return home Ken sent a case of water with us. Yes, the hotel is being remodeled. However, the room was large, clean, a/c worked, fridge, microwave and coffee pot all worked. Bathroom clean. Was a wonderful place to evacuate to. Will be happy to visit them again under nicer circumstances.
It was great. All the extras: lounge area, kids play area, gym, pool and hot tub, large rooms and extra fluffy pillows.
Courteous staff. Comfortable bed. Nice room. Clean and spacious. The furniture i.e. chairs and sofa could and should be replaced.
This hotel is very nice for a budget friendly hotel. It's more up to date and has better amenities than the Marriott around the corner. I highly recommend this hotel.
I booked this hotel against my better judgement after previously having stayed here in the past. Additionally, after reading many of the reviews submitted by other past guests. However, after seeing that this location was in the process of being remodeled; I decided to give it a go. And, furthermore, several other family members were also staying here for a family reunion. Upon arriving to the hotel, I asked the desk clerk (owner-Ken Patel) to please show me the room that I would be occupying. This room was at best a rating of "3" and it had been remodeled but still had pieces of the old furniture in the space. I did inquiry regarding the reviews on the hotel's site that were negative. He stated, that these should not be believed and that these guests were merely "mad" because they had requested refunds or reductions of rates that they did not receive and were just upset. Well, unfortunately, that is where I now find myself to be. Upset and thoroughly disenchanted with my entire stay at this location from September 1, 2017 until September 4, 2017. This location was under a remodeling project. The base boards were all removed which caused the walls not to be flushed with the floor and allowed many spiders and large cockroaches to enter the building. I will post pictures. Additionally, I was locked out of my room which was handled by staff person Kendra to the best of her ability. She attempted to make the situation better and moved me to another room. A large suite. However, the suite smelled of mold and the furniture was stained and old. I attempted to sit my purse on the table in the room and the entire top of the table fell on my foot. And, the breakfast was awful. The eggs was full of water and the sausage tasted like cardboard. Upon check out. I spoke to the Manager, Robyn McIntyre, who stated she was not at liberty to attempt to resolve my concerns, but that she would call me the next day. On September 5, 2017, I awaited a call from her all day to no avail. On September 6, 2017, I called the hotel back myself. Upon speaking to her, she indicated the owner, Ken Patel, stated that he would not provide any resolution to my discontent with all that I experienced and that no refund of any sort would occur. Keep in mind, I would have been satisfied with any type of acknowledgement to show in the least that he cared about his consumers. I would suggest that until you see carefully constructed reviews that indicate this establishment has made efforts to resolve it's shoddy appearances, lack of any customer service concerns by Ken Patel, and an overall upgrade of it's lack of luster....DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME STAYING HERE. I attempted to NOT rate this establishment AT ALL. However, I had to put up a rating in order for me to post my review.
