I have been seeing Dr. Taneja since 2003 when he was with another practice and now at his own practice. He is very thorough and makes sure you understand the diagnosis and treatments. He is NOT a pill pusher which is something I really love about him. He is not going to just write prescriptions to appease you. His staff is very good and responsive to phone calls and questions. I have never had to wait long either for my appointments which is awesome in itself!
They said that they submitted with the right diagnostic code multiple times (more than twice) and called insurance too but when I talked to my insurance they did not receive any calls or did not submit anything after two times.
I will never go to this doctor or any of the other doctors in the group and advice anyone thinking about going to this Dr Taneja's office for their medical issues. Stay away!!! You are better of finding someone that would file the correct diagnostic codes to the insurance.
THEY CODED MY FIRST TIME/ANNUAL ROUTINE EXAM AS SOMETHING ELSE...It doesn't matter which doctor you visit for your first/Annual Routine Checkup the diagnostic code should be Coded correctly as the routine annual exam and not things found during the examination. The insurance company was willing to pay for the Annual Exam so I just can't believe that a doctor's practice would do such a terrible thing!
Dr Tenaja is a great and caring doctor. He is our mother's primary care physician as well as her kidney doctor. He is my kidney doctor as well. I wouldn't go anywhere else. His care and concern for his patients is unbeatable.
I would pay for the bill right away buy if the issue is not resolved due to bad judgments on the office managers or the doctor to submit the right code then patients like us gets screwed on with bad credit score because we did not pay them on time. I told the office that i was willing to pay on the spot but if the dr's office and their billing office is not willing to submit the right diagnostic code then insurance would not be able to pay and ultimately the responsibility of the bill rests upon the patient....i.e. is ME!!!
The office manager sets her own ours which usually happens later in the day so by the time the patient calls the office, the office is closed by 5pm. I have never seen any office manager that only works few hours a day when the dr's office is open M-F from 8:30 to 5pm.
Amazing Doctor. He was my primary care doctor. He'll go far out of his way to help his patients. You really can't go wrong with Aegis Nephrology.
Be careful when you use their service as the primary physician. The doctor himself is great when it comes to Doctor-Patient relationship. But make sure you check everything you get done at this clinic. The office manager might sound like a very nice person and might convince you that their ways of filing billing issues is insurance faults. I went there as first time patient and as a Routine Annual Examination and during the visit I had mentioned other issues as well during the check up. They filed the claim as the other issue and my insurance did not pay them the bill. I had asked them a simple request to change to the right diagnostic code as Routine Examination so that insurance can pay them but that did not materialize either.
